Corps Volatils

Corps Volatils breaks free from tradition and puts synthetic molecules, which the great perfumer Edmond Roudnitska called "laboratory flowers", and natural extracts on an equal footing. Its mantra is to celebrate an exceptional ingredient and its infinite beauty. Equidistant between art and science, perfumery intertwines molecules to create stunning emotions.

Corps Volatils makes the encounter between science and nature its strong worth. Natural ingredients are components derived from plants that produce odorous substances. Each plant is made up of a real blend of several hundred aromatic constituents that make up its olfactory signature. Historically from the Mediterranean basin, and in particular from the Grasse region due to its favorable climate, there has always been a great wealth of perfumes and plants, still used today. Depending on the plant species, all or part of its constituents (roots, stems, leaves, bark, flowers, fruits or seeds) are used in perfumery. Harvesting is usually done by hand and extraction processes are often performed during or near the harvest to avoid degradation of the living material. What brings chemical molecules and natural materials together is the absolute genius of science in finding pure emotions. Some were created ex nihilo by chemists in white coats and others extracted directly from nature thanks to an innovative technology: co-distillation, that is, extraction with CO2 molecular distillation or biotechnology. All the ingredients, however, share the same hedonic value. The former are not superior to the latter, just as blue cannot be more beautiful than red in the painter's mind. A narcissus absolute is worth one molecule of Verdox ™ and a magnolia essential oil is as noble as a Z4 musk with sensual, powdery facets. With a futuristic and scientific approach, Corps Volatils offers its collection of refined perfumes and sublimated bottles, protecting ingredients from light damage and offering a lasting commitment through the use of recyclable aluminum and glass. The bottles are refillable, with refills available with a reduced carbon impact. On each bottle, in addition to the name of the perfume, the constituent elements of the ingredients and their origin are mentioned, for total transparency. Corps Volatils perfumes are produced near Grasse in France and all components are sourced and made in France.
